Sauna Use Quick Guide

These simple guidelines are designed to help you get the most out of your infrared sauna experience. As you become more familiar with your sauna, you may adjust each session to suit your personal comfort and wellness goals.
Be sure to stay well hydrated before, during, and after every session.

Before Your Session

Preheat your sauna to a comfortable temperature before entering. Preheating typically takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the sauna and the surrounding room temperature. For first-time users, a temperature range of approximately 110°F to 120°F is recommended. Adjust gradually to find what feels right for you.

While the sauna is warming up, light preparation can help your body ease into the session. A warm shower, bath, or gentle physical activity can increase circulation and help your body begin sweating more efficiently once inside. For beginners, starting with one to two sessions per week is ideal.

During Your Session

Wear minimal clothing to allow infrared heat to reach the body more effectively. Bring at least two towels into the sauna — one to sit on and one to absorb perspiration.

Begin with a session length of 15 to 20 minutes. Over time, you may slowly extend the duration as your comfort level increases. Use this time to relax, breathe deeply, or unwind from daily stress. Gentle self-massage of tight or sore areas can help release muscle tension. Wiping away excess sweat allows the body to continue sweating more effectively.

After Your Session

Once the session is complete, turn off the sauna and remain seated inside with the door slightly open for 5 to 10 minutes. This allows your body to cool down gradually while perspiration continues naturally.

After cooling down, exit the sauna and allow your body to rest. Wait at least 20 minutes before taking a warm shower to rinse away perspiration and support recovery.

Important Safety Note

If you experience dizziness, lightheadedness, unusual fatigue, or any discomfort, exit the sauna immediately and allow your body to cool down.
